Teshuvah, Day 32

This is Day 2 of the Ten Days of Awe.

Remembering who you are.

Psalm 27: 2-3 “When evildoers assail me to eat up my flesh, my adversaries and foes, it is they who stumble and fall. 3 Though an army encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war arise against me, yet I will be confident.”

We can have confidence in God that He will deliver us from the enemy. We should not fall into fear.

Romans 8:14-17 “For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. 15 For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, ‘Abba! Father!’ 16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with Him in order that we may also be glorified with Him.”

We must remember who we are in Christ. We must remain faithful as He is faithful. Revelation 12 speaks of the time of tribulation that is to come and of those who will take the mark of the beast. Verse 14 says, “Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Yeshua.” We must endure to the end and keep the commandments of God, being steady to keep our faith in the Messiah.

Psalm 145:4-5 “One generation shall commend Your works to another, and shall declare Your mighty acts. 5 On the glorious splendor of Your majesty, and on Your wondrous works, I will meditate.”

We should share the testimonies of God with others. Paul told Timothy to be ready to share with others the hope we have in Christ. 1 Timothy 3:14-16 “But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled, 15 but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect, 16 having a good conscience, so that, when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame.”

This day coordinates with the second day of creation.

Genesis 1:6-8 “And God said, ‘Let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters.’ 7 And God made the expanse and separated the waters that were under the expanse from the waters that were above the expanse. And it was so. 8 And God called the expanse Heaven. And there was evening and there was morning, the second day.”
